Installation Steps

  1. Install the Downloader app.
  2. Enable "Apps from Unknown Sources" in Developer Options.
  3. Enter preplay.cc/apk or the code 4679692 in Downloader and install Premium Player.
  4. Open the app and log in with Xtream Codes.

Before You Start

Before you start setting up your Fire TV Stick, make sure the device is on the latest software version and signed in with your Amazon account. Since installation goes through Downloader, a little preparation saves time.

  1. Make sure the Fire TV Stick is linked to an Amazon account and connected to the internet, ideally over a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
  2. Check the remote's batteries and confirm the Fire TV Stick's software is up to date.
  3. Check the connection speed for the quality you want to watch: 5 Mbps for HD, 10 Mbps for Full HD, 25 Mbps for 4K.
  4. You can use the free 24-hour test broadcast to check compatibility before setting up.

Common Issues

Below are a few common situations during Fire TV Stick setup, along with how to fix them.

Developer Options do not show up in the settings. How do I enable them?

Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About and tap the device name seven times in a row. The Developer Options entry then appears in the My Fire TV menu, where you can turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.

I get an error when entering the address in Downloader. What could be wrong?

Check the address for extra spaces or typos; it is not case-sensitive, but the order of numbers and dots matters. Check your internet connection and try again; if it still fails, restart the device and update Downloader.

Playback keeps freezing or stuttering. What can I do?

Use a wired Ethernet adapter instead of Wi-Fi where possible; if you stay on Wi-Fi, choose the 5 GHz network and move the device closer to the router. Also check that no other device on the same network is running a large download.

The app does not open, or it crashes after installing. What is the fix?

Restart the device and reinstall the app through Downloader. If the problem continues, check the Fire TV Stick's storage; removing unused apps often frees up enough space.

After Setup

A few small steps after setup make everyday viewing smoother. The channel and programme list can be incomplete the first time it loads and finishes populating within a few minutes.

  1. Restart the app occasionally to keep the programme guide (EPG) up to date.
  2. Add the channels you watch most to your favourites for quick access.
