IPTV Not Working? Start Here

Most playback problems fall into a small number of patterns, and each one has a specific first check that solves it more often than not. This page sorts by what you actually see on screen, so you can jump straight to the fix rather than reading a long general guide from the top. Before working through any of the sections below, it is worth confirming the basics on any device: that your subscription is still active, that the app has actually been updated recently, and that the fault happens on more than one channel — a single channel behaving badly almost always points to that channel's source rather than your setup. If your symptom is not listed below, or the quick check does not clear it, support can look at your account directly.

Channel list is empty or will not load

Start by confirming your internet connection works at all — open a web page on the same device. If it does, force a manual refresh of the playlist rather than just restarting the app, since most players cache the old list until told otherwise. The full sequence, including what an expired subscription looks like, is in Common IPTV issues.

Picture is black, but you can hear the sound

This is a decoder mismatch, not a broken stream. Open your player's settings, find the option usually labelled "Decoder" or "Hardware acceleration", and switch it to the other setting, then restart the stream. Full explanation: Common IPTV issues.

Picture freezes or keeps stalling

Check whether it happens on every channel or just one — that single question splits the fault into a home-network problem or a source-side one that settings cannot fix. The five-step checklist, including cache and router resets, is in How to fix IPTV buffering.

Login is rejected

Before anything else, confirm the login type is set to Xtream Codes API, not M3U — entering the same details under the wrong type is the most common cause of a rejected login. After that, check for a trailing space left over from copying and pasting, and remember that both the username and password are case-sensitive. The full comparison, and what each type actually gives you, is in Xtream Codes vs M3U.

App says the device is busy or already in use

This usually means the app is still running in the background on another device. Close it there completely, wait a minute for the server to release the connection, then try again. What a standard subscription covers, and when you actually need a second connection, is explained in How Many Devices Can Watch at Once?.

TV guide (EPG) is empty

Refresh the guide manually from the app's settings — it downloads separately from the channel list, and the first load can take a few minutes. If the times are simply wrong afterwards, that is a time zone setting rather than missing data, and not every small regional channel carries guide data in the first place. Setting up the TV guide, including what to do when a channel never shows one, is in Setting up the TV guide.

No subtitles, or the wrong audio language

Check the same on-screen menu, usually reached with OK or the menu button, for separate "Audio" and "Subtitle" options. An empty list there means that particular stream carries no alternative track rather than a setting you have missed. Full walkthrough: Changing Audio Track and Subtitle Settings.

MAG box shows "STB is blocked" or the portal will not load

This points to the MAC address rather than the portal address itself — usually one that has not been registered yet, or was sent with a typo. Finding and confirming it is covered in MAG Box Portal URL and MAC Address Explained.

If none of this matches what you see

Write to us from the support page with your device and a precise description of what is on screen; the more specific the description, the less back-and-forth is needed to fix it.
