On Apple devices, setup starts with an App Store install and then follows the same logic as every other platform.

Choosing a player

Several players exist in the App Store. What to look for:

• A tvOS version, if you will also watch on Apple TV
• A free tier, so you can try before paying

Setup steps

1. Install the player from the App Store.
2. Open it and select Xtream Codes API.
3. Enter username, password and server address.
4. Wait for the channel list to load.

On Apple TV you sign in with the same details; if it is the same app, your settings often carry over.

Points specific to iPhone and iPad

Lower the quality on mobile data. A Full HD match uses 6–9 GB. Choose SD or HD on a cellular connection — full calculation: how much data does IPTV use?

Background playback. Some apps stop the stream when the screen locks; enable the background option if the app offers one.

AirPlay to a television. You can send the stream from an iPhone to an Apple TV or AirPlay-capable set. Because the video passes through the phone, installing directly on the television gives smoother results. If you get a black screen

Sound without picture means a decoder mismatch. Switch the player or decoder setting — one change usually fixes it: common problems and fixes.
